Here's How to Help Victims of the Las Vegas Mass Shooting

It only took a few hours to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to help assist victims of the tragic shooting in Las Vegas Sunday night at the Route 91 Harvest Festival.

A GoFundMe campaign set up Monday morning by Clark County Commission Chair Steve Sisolak quickly surpassed its $500,000 goal before increasing the goal to $1,000,000.

Sisolak wrote in the description that he spent Sunday night with Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo at the county's level-one trauma center, University Medical Center in Las Vegas. But he's still trying to help.

"Funds will be used to provide relief and financial support to the victims and families of the horrific Las Vegas mass shooting."

Four hours into the effort, more than $645,000 had been raised by over 3,000 people.

There is also an urgent need for blood donations for victims still fighting their injuries. United Blood Services is holding blood drives around Nevada.

Experts point out that any blood you donate could save someone's life. When local blood banks reach their local needs, they will be permitted to send blood to Las Vegas.
