Matt Moore – Founder & CEO
Matt Moore is a seasoned mariner and passionate innovator who spent his adolescence boating with friends and racing sailboats in the Charleston Harbor. His early career started at Scout Boats. He quickly used his boating knowledge, charismatic leadership, and problem solving abilities to grow production capacity across the entire fleet. His opus was to shoulder the birth, infancy and sustainbility for the new Scout Yacht Division.
Building on that foundation, Matt co-founded Volare Boats, taking the helm as CEO and building on the vision to redefine luxury day-boating through clean, electric propulsion without compromising traditional boating values, performance, craftsmanship, or aesthetic appeal.
As a graduate of The University of the South; Sewanee (Physics) and Clemson University (Mechanical Engineering), he built the framework to engineer functional solutions for real world results. Driven by creative resourcefulness, and a fierce determination, Matt is committed to delivering a boating experience that exceeds expectations in performance, safety, and luxury. More importantly, the love of his life, daughter Margot, reminds him to never stray from his true and unyielding purpose which is to help others.
