With multiple free agent quarterback signings announced yesterday, the options for future Hall of Fame QB Aaron Rodgers are dwindling. Dan agrees that the Pittsburgh Steelers seem like the most likely landing spot for Rodgers and thinks it’s the right move for the Steelers. While Russell Wilson is a known quantity, they should seriously consider bringing in Rodgers if they want any hope of competing for a Super Bowl.
Dan Patrick: “The problem is; the Steelers have been fine, they’ve been good, but they haven’t been great and if you’re Mike Tomlin, if you’re that front office you’re probably saying, ‘Alright, we gotta do something to shake this up a little bit,’ because you don’t have that quarterback that you’ve had before...I think that’s why you go after Aaron Rodgers because you know what Russell Wilson will give you, for the most part. You know that. You may not know what you’re getting with Aaron Rodgers but you feel like the ceiling’s a little bit higher there.”
