Former Clemson Tiger Seth Beer is on the move as The Houston Astros waited until the final moments to pull off the biggest trade of deadline day. The Astros sending the former Clemson Slugger to the Diamondbacks to pick up Zack Greinke.
Greinke, 35, is in the midst of another All-Star campaign. In 22 starts for Arizona, he’s posted a 10-7 record and a 2.87 ERA. He also has two years and $70 million remaining on a six-year, $206.5 million contract signed before the 2016 season.
Beer was playing at AA Corpus Christie. This season through 63 games he is hitting .299 with 16 homers and 52 RBI's.
