The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced an injury update for Ben Roethlisberger.
Pittsburgh announced the tough news today.
“Ben Roethlisberger had an MRI on his right elbow Sunday evening and it was determined by the Steelers’ medical team that surgery will be required. We expect the surgery will be scheduled for this week. He will be placed on our Reserve/Injured List and is out for the season,” Steelers coach Mike Tomlin announced.
The Steelers will play at San Francisco on Sunday, after starting the season 0-2.
Pittsburgh is now without Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell. The team’s new starting running back, James Conner, is also dealing with an injury.
