Will Muschamp was fired from the South Carolina job last month. Last year Muschamp revised his contract to take out raises and reduce his buyout from 15.5 million to around 13.4 million. Ben Breiner from The State reports that contract was never signed. This would put the University on the hook for the full 15.5 million dollars.
Muschamp took the revised deal to pay more to his running backs coach Thomas Brown. Brown took a job 2 months later with the L.A. Rams. Since the revised contract was not signed...this means it is not enforceable. Why would Muschamp give the University a break?
