Former Clemson QB will battle former SC QB to start at Northwestern

It will be a battle of former QB's from the palmetto state in the land of the Big 10. Former Clemson QB Hunter Johnson and former South Carolina QB Ryan Hilinski will compete to be the new starter at Northwestern.Johnson completed 46 percent of his passes for 432 yards with a touchdown and four interceptions over six games in 2019, four of which he started. This season Northwestern went with Peyton Ramsey at QB sending Johnson to the bench.

Over 11 starts in 2019, Hilinski threw for 2,357 yards with 11 touchdowns and five interceptions. The gamecocks went with Colin Hill this season. Hilinski attempted just six passes over two games this past season, before entering the NCAA Transfer Portal.

Who will win out? We will have to wait and see.
