NFL analyst: Miami would have to include Wilkins to get Watson via trade

Another team in the mix to get star QB Deshaun Watson is Miami. A report from Barry Jackson from The Miami Herald says the team is looking to get the services of the former Clemson QB.

Peter King from Pro Football Talk says it will take a former Clemson star in Wilkins..and a lot more to make the trade work.

“Miami trades defensive end Christian Wilkins, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, first-round picks in 2021 (third overall) and 2023, and second-round picks in 2021 and 2022 for Watson. In essence, Miami is trading the 13th overall pick in 2019 (Wilkins) and the fifth overall pick in 2020 (Tagovailoa), plus two ones and two twos for Watson. Advantage for Miami is the deal would leave the Dolphins with first-round and second-round picks this year and their first next year while giving them a quarterback to play on equal footing with Josh Allen in the AFC East for the next decade.”

That sounds like a lot! King explained his logic on the trade on the twitter.

He is right. When is the last time we have seen a QB this great possibly on the move in the trade market. Where will Watson end up? This is a soap opera we will do our best to keep up with.
