Dustin Johnson sets a unique masters champions dinner menu

The champions dinner at the Masters is one of the many great traditions at Augusta National. Each year, the previous year’s winner determines the menu for the dinner, which is held prior to the beginning of the event. Dustin Johnson won last year and his choice was very interesting.

The appetizers are pigs in a blanket and lobster and corn fritters. The first course is a house salad or Caesar salad.

The main course is filet mignon and miso-marinated sea bass. Served with family style sides of mashed potatoes and spring vegetables.

Desert features peach cobbler and apple pie with vanilla ice cream.

Last year Tiger Woods set the menu. His starter was The Augusta Roll, a sushi dish with tempura shrimp, spicy tuna, avocado, eel sauce, tempura flakes, pickled ginger, wasabi and soy sauce.

Tiger’s main course last year was prime steak and chicken fajitas with grilled vegetables, refried beans, Mexican rice, pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole and flour tortillas. The dessert trio included classic flan, churros with chocolate sauce and sopapillas.
