SC High School Football Championship Games Will Stay in Columbia

They're staying in the center of the state...the high school football championships for South Carolina's biggest classifications will be played again this year at Williams-Brice Stadium. The State newspaper reports the South Carolina High School League executive committee voted 13-2 to keep the games in Columbia, turning down a proposal from Clemson to move the 3A, 4A and 5A games to the Upstate--or possibly rotate them every other year. The 1A and 2A games also remain in the Midlands, where they're played at Benedict College.
