Gamecock Men Lose their SEC Opener Against Florida

The SEC season opened with a loss for the Gamecock men last night...as Florida held off Carolina, 81-68 at Colonial Life Arena.Frank Martin’s Gamecock squad cut into the Gator lead several times in the second half, but kept getting sloppy with the ball. Turnovers cost Carolina a chance at a comeback.  Maik Kotsar led the Gamecocks with a season-high 18 points and 10 rebounds, as Carolina lost its third straight at home. Carolina will play three of its next four SEC match ups on the road, starting Saturday when the Gamecocks travel to face Tennessee in Knoxville.
